Top Ten Debt Relief Measure Which Just Aren't Going to Happen

Debt relief is a pretty serious subject, but here's a light hearted list of ways that people secretly hope will work - but don't.
  • You will not win the lottery. You might, I mean, someone has to win it every month or so, but this is not a good debt relief strategy.
  • You will not strike it big in Vegas. casino's are actually incredibly sophisticated examples of probability mathematics. And guess who's favor the odds are in. I'll give you a hint, either you or the casino will end up with all the money. And it won't be you.
  • You were not adopted and your real father will not turn out to be Richard Branson - seriously, I've read all his books and all his children are accounted for. Apart from that he's not big on giving his kids money anyway
  • You will not win a big court case and be paid millions of dollars compensation for your boss 'invading your personal body space'. And if you do your lawyers will get it all anyway.
  • When your rich auntie Beth dies, she will not leave everything to you because you have been feeding her and changing her diaper throughout the illness. She's ill! She hasn't had a chance to get out of the house and change her will in your favor, and if she did all her closer relatives would declare she was not of sound mind.
  • When Your Mum and Dad die you will find they actually owed more money than the house was worth. And anyone, waiting for your folks to die to solve your financial problems is a pretty low thing to be doing
  • Your invention sucks and no one wants to buy it.
  • Your book would suck if you ever finished it
  • Your boss has not noticed you working diligently away and will not surprise you with a $50,000 Christmas bonus
  • The Bank does make errors - but they are never in your favor
Silly as these all sound, I have heard every single one of them used as people's debt relief scheme. Folks, I tell you this honestly - debt relief is about you. Don't look for other people to do you favors - do yourself a favor. Address your own debt problem and start a realistic debt relief plan TODAY.
